Seaport of Brisbane in Australia – a port located at the outskirts of Brisbane, on the eastern coast of the state of Queensland. Currently, it is the third largest port in Australia and the fastest growing container port in the country. In total, the port accepts over 2600 ships annually and transports over 28 million tons of cargo annually. The port’s upkeep is quite expensive. Removal of sludge that settles in the port sewers costs quite a lot. The Brisbane Seaport accepts first and foremost liquid goods, such as crude oil, fertilizers, chemicals, but also engine vehicles, clinker (cement) and gypsum, paper and paper products, and also construction machines. The most exported product types are: coal, refined oils, grain, wood chips, mineral sands, scrap, meat products and cotton.
