Port Klang
Port Klang, with the code MYPKL, is located in Malaysia. It is the largest port in this country, situated on the west coast of the Malay Peninsula. It’s located in the state of Selangor, 40 km from Kuala Lumpur. It encompasses an area of 806 hectares. The port is comprised of the North Port, West Port and South Port. The port is often visited by tourists. There are many exquisite restaurants here that serve tasty sea fruit. The port has had its current name since 1972. Previously, it was named Port Swettenham. In 2012, it was considered to be the 12th busiest port in the world. The port’s capacity is 109,700,000 tons of cargo. The port is under the jurisdiction of the City Council, and is managed by Northport Bhd. The port has a passenger terminal for ferries, and also an international terminal. The old ferry terminal is currently being used to serve regular passenger boats heading to Pulau Lumut.
