Port Vancouver
Port Vancouver (since 2008, Port Metro Vancouver) – the largest port in Canada, in the Pacific Northwest. The fourth largest port on the west coast of North America in terms of container traffic measured in TEU. It is expected that the port’s traffic should increase threefold over the next 20 years. In order to meet future requirements and increase the capacity of terminals at container ports, the port’s authorities want to verify the effectiveness of existing terminals, take advantage of their capabilities and build new facilities. In 2006, Port Vancouver accepted 79.4 million tons of cargo.
