Seaport of Acajutla
Acajutla is a seaport with the code SVAQJ, located in Salvador. The city is situated at the coasts of the Pacific Ocean in Middle America. It is the country’s principal seaport. Its main exports include coffee, sugar and balsam of Peru (natural Commiphora resin). The port’s construction was connected with the city’s growth. Large amounts of money were invested in order to adapt the port to modern needs and in order for it to grow. The port inaugurated its activity in 1961. It is managed by CEPA.
