Seaport of Auckland
Auckland is a seaport with the code NZAKL. The port is located in New Zealand, and is the largest port in the country. The port has commercial freight and cruise ship harbor facilities. The port has a large capacity and is an international trade port. It has 55 ha of wharves and storage areas, the latter being used mainly to store containers, cars and other big cargo. The eastern waterfront houses the Wynyard Wharf where liquids and chemical substances are stored. In the next few years, this place will be transformed into mixed-use, with residential spaces, shops and offices next to each other. The place is managed by the Waterfront Auckland CCO. Prince Wharf is where cruise vessels call into. In addition, it is also intended for emergency services and for ship berthing. Queen Wharf is an additional cruise vessel terminal. Other parts located at the port are: Captain Cook Wharf, Marsden Wharf, Jellicoe Wharf and Freyberg Wharf.
