Damietta is a seaport with the code EGDAM, located in Egypt. The port is situated 8.5 km from the Nile. Port facilities cover an area of 11.8 km2. The port’s entrance is 11.4 kilometers long and 15 meters deep. It is also 300 meters wide. It has 18 nightly-lit buoys that illuminate the approach channel, thanks to which ships can safely reach the port. The facility is also equipped with breakwaters that are located in the port’s eastern and western part. As everything has been adapted so well, the port can be used without any problems.

Damietta is a port city that is able to grow thanks to the port’s activity. Furniture and wood industries are also doing quite well over here. There are a few companies that handle the production of dairy products, confectionery products and various kinds of Egyptian desserts. However, the city’s main source income comes from the fishing port operating within Damietta, which port is performing excellently in every respect.
