Seaport of Yantian
Yantian is a seaport with the code CNYTN. Both the port and the city are located in China. The city is one of the six districts of Shenzhen, situated not far from the Shenzhen River. The port has been operating as an industrial zone since 1996 and was approved by the State Council. It covers an area of 0.5 km2. Since 2004, there has been an ongoing project of “zone-port interaction” which is supposed to increase the cooperation between the Yantian Port and the Free Trade Zone of Shenzhen Yantiangang. In 2005, the port’s area increased to 0.9 km2 as a result of establishing the Bonded Logistic Park. Many industries perform strongly at this port, including those related with printing, publishing, packaging, shipping, logistics and trade. As for the city of Yantian itself, it has 218,700 residents. The district is 72.63 km2 in size. The city is an attractive tourist spot with many interesting sights, such as the Chung Ying Street, the Dameisha Beach, October East.
