EORI number

EORI - Economic Operators' Registration and Identification. It was created in the framework of the so-called. "Non-paper" of the e-Customs, whose task is the creation and implementation of mechanisms for computing / information systems for customs administrations and trade in the European Union (EU). EORI is one of the electronic components of the duty.

The EORI system was launched July 1, 2009 throughout the EU. Different member states have developed their own system of EORI which is, however, part of the Community system. One of the first systems was completed just in Poland, Ministry of Finance, the Customs Service Department at the Polish Customs Administration.
